We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join our vibrant primary school in Brent for a full-time, fixed-term contract starting September 2025. The Role:
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will have the important responsibility of delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that align with the National Curriculum. You will help your students develop their academic skills, emotional resilience, and social confidence, preparing them for their future learning. You will also help prepare the class for end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments, supporting them to reach their full potential.
This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 1 year, with the possibility of extension depending on the school's needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons for Year 2, in line with the National Curriculum.

Assess and track students' progress, providing regular feedback and differentiated support to help them achieve their learning goals.
*
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to learn.
*
Foster the development of students’ social and emotional skills, preparing them for the next step in their education.
*
Collaborate with other staff members to maintain high standards of teaching and learning across the school.
*
Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support the academic and personal development of each child.
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, with a preference for Year 2 experience.

A creative and engaging approach to teaching, with the ability to meet the diverse learning needs of children.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
*
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students.

A passion for teaching and a commitment to helping every child achieve their best.
