Are you a dynamic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on Key Stage 2 students? We are seeking an enthusiastic educator to join our Brent-based primary school for a full-time, fixed-term contract starting September 2025. This role offers an incredible opportunity to guide and inspire our Year 5 students, preparing them for the next stage of their primary education. About the School: Our school is a thriving and inclusive community where we place great emphasis on fostering a nurturing and challenging environment for both students and staff. With a Good Ofsted rating, we are proud of our academic achievements and the high standards we maintain in our teaching and learning. Our school is committed to providing a well-rounded education that supports the intellectual, emotional, and social development of every child. We value teamwork and collaboration, creating a positive atmosphere where staff and students alike can flourish. Our leadership team is supportive and dedicated to ensuring that all members of the school community have the resources and development opportunities they need to succeed. The Role: As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in alignment with the National Curriculum, preparing students for the next stage of their academic journey. You will help build a solid foundation in both core subjects and other areas of the curriculum, ensuring that students are engaged, challenged, and supported in their learning. Additionally, you will be preparing the students for their Key Stage 2 assessments and contributing to their overall social and emotional growth. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 1 year with the possibility of extension or a permanent position. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons for Year 5 students in line with the National Curriculum. * Monitor and assess students' academic progress, providing timely feedback and support to help them reach their full potential. * Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, where students feel confident and motivated to learn. * Support students’ personal development, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities ahead in Key Stage 2. * Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and maintain high standards of teaching. * Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to update them on their child's progress and development. What We’re Looking For: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. * Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably in Year 5. * A creative, engaging, and effective approach to teaching that caters to the diverse needs of students. * Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, respectful learning environment. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students. * A passion for teaching and a commitment to ensuring every child achieves their best. What We Offer: * A full-time, fixed-term contract for 1 year, starting September 2025. * A supportive and collaborative school community with a commitment to professional development. * Access to excellent teaching resources and well-equipped classrooms. * Opportunities for professional growth and development through CPD and leadership opportunities. * A focus on work-life balance and staff well-being within a nurturing school environment. * A school with a strong sense of community, where every staff member is valued and supported.
