Supportive Primary School in North-West London seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant

Harrow, North-West London

Pay: £95 - £110 per day

Start Date: ASAP/September 2026
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (with potential for permanent)

About the Role:

Vocational Recruitment is working in partnership with a two-form entry primary school in Harrow to appoint a committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time role trialling now and starting in September 2026.

This is a long-term position as a SEND Teaching Assistant. The role involves working closely with teachers to provide tailored support and supporting a child in Year 6 with Autism on a 1 to 1 basis. Previous experience supporting children with ASD is desirable, along with strong communication skills, patience, and a positive attitude.

Requirements for the SEND Teaching Assistant role:

  * Prior experience working with children with SEND (desirable)

  * Prior experience working with Autism (desirable)

  * Knowledge and understanding of SEND

  * Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  * A proactive and positive approach to supporting children with their learning

  * Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
