The Role:
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will have the important role of guiding our students through their final year of primary school, preparing them for their transition to secondary education. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum, supporting students’ academic and personal development, and fostering a love of learning. You will also help prepare the class for end-of-year assessments, ensuring that every child is supported to achieve their best.
Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with the Year 6 curriculum and prepare students for SATs and secondary school.

Monitoring and assessing students' progress, providing regular feedback and identifying areas for improvement.

Supporting students’ social and emotional development, ensuring they are ready for the transition to secondary school.

Differentiating lessons to meet the individual needs of all learners, including those who need additional support or challenge.

Building strong, supportive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
*
Contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school events.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably in Year 6.
*
Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum, including SATs preparation.

The ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a positive learning environment.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

A commitment to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students.
