1:1 Support Assistant - Burnham

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:15 (term time only plus INSET days)
Salary: Bucks Pay Range (dependent on experience)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Burnham is seeking a caring and committed 1:1 Support Assistant to work with a pupil with Autism on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone experienced in supporting children with special educational needs, particularly those on the autistic spectrum.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a child with Autism, helping to promote their intellectual, physical, social and emotional development
Deliver targeted interventions and support programmes aligned with the child's specific needs
Work closely with teaching staff, the SENDCo, and external professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality support
Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding, health & safety, and pupil support protocols
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced in supporting children with Autism or other communication and sensory needs
Confident working within a team and independently
Physically able to engage with young children in play and learning activities
Flexible, positive, and proactive in adapting to individual pupil needs
Knowledge of SEND practices in mainstream or special school settings is desirable
