Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Nottingham
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8.30am - 4pm, Monday to Friday full time term Time Only
We are supporting a Primary school in south Nottingham that are seeking a caring, committed, and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a named pupil with additional needs in an inclusive and nurturing primary school.
About the Role:
You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCO, and external professionals to provide personalised support to a pupil with autism, helping them to access learning and thrive within the school environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing tailored 1:1 support in class and during unstructured times
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Adapting resources and activities to suit individual needs
Encouraging independence and confidence
Liaising with staff and parents to monitor progress and well-being

Has experience working with children with additional needs
Is calm, patient, and positive
Works well as part of a team and takes initiative
Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality
Is committed to promoting inclusion and learning for all
