Job Description
A reputable and long-standing agricultural estate near Beverley is seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis to support their busy finance team. This position offers a competitive salary of up to £30,000, dependent on experience, along with life insurance and an enhanced pension scheme.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Accurately posting Sales and Purchase Invoices into the accounting system
Ensuring any unallocated transactions are investigated and resolved promptly
Carrying out Supplier Statement Reconciliations to maintain accurate records
Recording and reconciling monthly Petty Cash transactions
Assisting with Bank Reconciliations as required
Processing BACS payments to suppliers in a timely and efficient manner
Handling Intercompany Recharges and ensuring accurate allocation across entitiesTo be successful in this Accounts Assistant role, you will ideally have:
At least 2–3 years’ experience in a finance or accounts environment
A confident and professional phone manner, with the ability to follow up on queries efficiently
A strong eye for detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and reconciliations
Own transport, as the location is rural and not easily accessible by public transport
A proactive, organised approach with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesThis excellent opportunity is easily commutable from Driffield, Cottingham, Market Weighton, Hedon, Hornsea and surrounding areas. The site offers free on-site parking, but own transport is essential due to the location.
