Job Description
NXTGEN is working closely with a highly regarded Accountancy firm in Bury St Edmunds to recruit an Accounts Senior. As an Accounts Senior, you will work closely with a diverse client portfolio, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You'll be involved in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and providing valuable insights to clients. The firm prides itself on delivering a high-quality service while fostering a collaborative and friendly working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accounts for a range of businesses, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP.
Prepare tax computations and support tax compliance services.
Work with cloud-based accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
Build strong client relationships, offering advice on financial and business procedures.
Assist in mentoring and developing junior team members.
Manage and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines efficiently.
What the client is looking for:
AAT qualified and/or ACA/ACCA part-qualified, with a strong background in practice.
Minimum of 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to client service.
Experience mentoring junior staff is desirable.
