Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Orpington, Kent
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £32k + Training & Benefits
We are recruiting on behalf of a UKAS Accredited asbestos company, with a strong reputation and busy portfolio. They are seeking a P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their team in the South East of England. Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate strong technical and practical experience as well as strong organisational skills. Applicants will need to be based locally to: Orpington, Dartford, Gravesend, Sidcup, Bexleyheath, Bromley, Caterham, Oxted, Erith, Chatham, Snodland, Sevenoaks, Westerham, Mitcham, Epsom, Sutton, Redhill, Maidstone, Sittingbourne, Rainham, Aylesford, Kings Hill, Rainham, Grays, Tilbury, Barking, Ilford.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Will have strong experience undertaking bulk analysis of ACM samples
- Applicants will have worked within a UKAS accredited Asbestos laboratory
- Must be qualified with the BOHS P401 qualification
- Excellent technical knowledge
- Detail-oriented and thorough approach to work
- Strong literacy and IT skills
The Role:
- Completing the bulk analysis of ACM samples through PLM and stereo microscopy methods
- Receiving samples into the laboratory, logging in and storing safely
- Updating the company database with results
- Creating and issuing result certificates for clients
- Organising the repair and servicing of laboratory equipment
- Participating in quality assurance procedures and AIMS
- Ensuring to meet or exceed set targets
