Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne and Wear
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £42k + Training & Benefits
We are seeking a qualified and hardworking Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, to cover client sites in the North East of England. You will be joining a UKAS accredited firm, who have a fantastic reputation within the industry and a busy portfolio of clients. The role will include client-facing interactions, as such, it is important for candidates to carry themselves in a professional manner and be able to maintain high standards of service. Salaries are attractive and packages include: the use of a company vehicle, pension scheme and overtime opportunities.
Locations of work include: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Washington, South Shields, North Shields, Whitley Bay, Cramlington, Prudhoe, Consett, Stanley, Lanchester, Chester-le-Street, Durham, Crook, Bowburn, Coxhoe, Spennymoor, Bishop Auckland, Newton Aycliffe, Houghton le Spring, Seaham, Middlesboroudh, Sunderland, Darlington, Thornaby, Yarm, Redcar, Hebburn, Blyth.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, ideally for a UKAS accredited company
- Qualified with the BOHS P402, P403, P404 (or RSPH equivalent)
- Fully conversant in UKAS, HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
- High literacy standards
- Comfortable with using IT applications and software
- Experienced in liaising with clients
- Professional manner
The Role:
- Undertaking the full range of: management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys
- Working across a mix of commercial, commercial, industrial and local authority client sites
- Safely collecting samples from site for analysis
- Undertaking 4 Stage clearances as well as personal, leak and background air monitoring
- Monitoring the adherence of compliance across asbestos removals projects
- Writing bespoke reports for clients
- Conducting re-inspections
- Meeting clients on site to discuss findings and provide project updates
- Maintaining and building positive relationships with clients
