Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Bristol, Somerset
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £42k + Training & Benefits
Due to continued business success, our client is seeking a P402 qualified Asbestos Surveyor to work on a mixed portfolio of Commercial, Housing, Local Authority client sites in the South West of England. Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong asbestos technical knowledge, with up to date knowledge of Asbestos & H&S regulations and will ideally have good client-facing skills. They are offering competitive salaries and benefits to the successful applicant.
Our client would prefer candidates to be based around: Bristol, Bath, Yate, Thornbury, Portishead, Swindon, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury, Tewksbury, Evesham, Worcester, Hereford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Trowbridge, Devizes, Frome, Warminster, Wells, Glastonbury, Bridgwater, Weston-super-Mare, Newport, Chepstow, Lydney, Cardiff.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must have experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS accredited company
- It is essential to hold the BOHS P402 (or RSPH equivalent)
- Robust technical knowledge, including: UKAS and HSG 264 guidelines
- Comfortable using IT software
- Good literacy skills
- Professional attitude
The Role:
- Undertaking management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys on a mixed portfolio of client sites
- Producing thorough asbestos survey reports for clients
- Ensuring to work in line with industry and HSE guidelines
- Wearing the correct PPE at all times
- Collecting asbestos samples from site and storing safely
- Travelling to sites to meet clients and discuss findings and provide ongoing technical support
- Maintaining the company's professional reputation
