Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Nottingham, East Midlands
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £42k + Training & Benefits
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded Asbestos and Compliance company, with a national presence and strong client base. The role will involve working across a varied portfolio of sites, such as: manufacturing, residential, local authority, public sector and commercial, so experience across all or most of these sites would be beneficial. As the company is multi-disciplined, they are able to offer exciting opportunities to cross train and gain further modules. Salaries and benefits are competitive.
It is preferred that candidates are based within the following areas: Nottingham, Derby, Beeston, Mansfield, Burton upon Trent, Castle Donington, Coalville, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Leicester, Grantham, Corby, Peterborough, Kettering, Wellingborough, Northampton, Daventry, Rugby, Coventry, Nuneaton, Royal Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Solihull, Redditch, Tamworth, Lichfield, Rugeley, Stafford, Cannock, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Stourbridge, Telford.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must have hands-on experience undertaking the full range of Asbestos Surveys
- Qualified with the BOHS P402, or RSPH equivalent
- Will have ideally worked within a UKAS accredited asbestos company
- It is preferred that candidates will hold a degree, ideally relating to sciences or environmental sectors
- Excellent level of technical knowledge
- Experienced in working to UKAS and HSG 264 guidelines
- Flexible to travel when required
- Strong IT and literacy skills
The Role:
- Undertaking management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys across a wide variety of client sites
- Collecting ACM samples from site for analysis
- Writing detailed survey reports for clients, advising on any highlighted risks
- Attending meetings with clients to discuss survey findings and provide technical advice
- Maintaining and growing excellent working relationships with clients
- Delivering asbestos awareness training sessions
- Ensuring to follow safety and compliance guidelines
