Our client is a privately-owned Asbestos consultancy, who have a growing client presence in the South East of England. Applicants will be covering sites in and around the M25, and will be servicing a mix of domestic, commercial and local authority client premises. The company would prefer someone who can hit the ground running and bring their wealth of knowledge to a growing team. They are offering competitive salaries and benefits to the successful applicant.
It is preferred that candidates will be located in one of the following locations: Guildford, Farnham, Woking, Camberley, Weybridge, Epsom, Sutton, Mitcham, Crowthorne, Harrow, Wembley, Slough, Southall, Hounslow, Luton, Dunstable, Aylesbury, Kingston upon Thames, Woking, Camberley, Bracknell, Reading, Maidenhead, Redhill, Crawley, Caterham, Oxted, Westerham, East Grinstead, Croydon, Bromley, Orpington.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Will hold the BOHS P402 qualification (or RSPH equivalent)
- Strong experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor, ideally within a UKAS accredited company
- Good undertaking of HSG 264 and UKAS guidelines
- IT literate
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- It would be beneficial to hold the BOHS P403 & P404 qualifications as well as matching analytical experience
- Flexible to travel in line with company requirements
The Role:
- Conducting management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys
- Collecting ACM samples from site
- Writing detailed survey reports, complete with site-specific drawings
- Undertaking re-inspection surveys and hand-over appointments
- Meeting with clients on site to discuss requirements and answer any technical queries
- Wearing correct PPE and adhering to safety guidelines at all times
- Maintaining strong working relationships with clients
