If either of the above applies to you, then great because here at Cover People, we are seeking enthusiastic individuals to work in mainstream secondary schools across Greater Manchester in a variety of roles, including Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant or Mentor roles. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates to try a new career path. You will be fully supported by Cover People and the school whilst you build confidence.
Position: Aspiring Science Teachers in Education (Graduates)
Location: Greater Manchester (Secondary Schools)
Employment Type: Full time or Part time, Mon to Fri 8:30AM to 3:30PM (flexible on the days)
Key responsibilities may include:
Be a stand-in for class teachers to manage classroom behaviour
Support the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons.
Assist teachers with lesson planning and classroom management.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
Inspire and motivate students to develop an interest in a particular subject
Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
BSc or equivalent, MSc or PhD OR Certificate of Education
A passion for education and working with young people.
Confidence to supervise and manage classrooms
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Cover People UK.
No teaching experience required, but experience working with children or in a school setting is beneficial
