Accounts Assistant - Manufacturing (Luton)
Join a leading manufacturing firm in Luton as a key Accounts Assistant, partnered with Morgan McKinley, Northern Home Counties. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a crucial role in daily financial operations and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage purchase and sales ledgers (coding and processing).
Handle purchase orders and non-PO invoice approvals.
Maintain the financial asset register.
Support month-end closing, reconciliations, and forecasting.
Oversee the finance inbox.
Assist with bank reconciliation and cash forecasting.
Execute bi-weekly payment runs.
Support payroll and other finance/office tasks.
Maintain timesheet systems and Xero contacts.
Provide cover for colleagues and handle ad hoc duties.What you'll bring:
Prior finance/accounts experience, ideally in manufacturing.
Knowledge of Xero, ApprovalMax, or similar finance software.
Understanding of VAT.
Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
Strong time management and ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).Position: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £30000 - £35000
