Job Description
You'll be working within a small team under the supervision of a seasoned purchasing manager & strategic buyer, so you'll have some great support and mentorship from people who know the business inside out. This will require you to use your technical knowledge and commercial skills to build robust relationships with not only key suppliers. You can expect it to be a busy subcontract environment and a varied role with no day being the same, so it will be very rewarding.
The role
The focus will be to assist the current sub con buyer, purchasing of specialist 'finishing off' processes of intricate machined parts. Along with the negotiating, expediting and other buying duties, this position will involve a huge amount of coordinating and understanding of schedules to make sure strict deadlines are met. You will be juggling multiple things at once in a fast-paced environment… Being a forward thinker and a go getter is key!

They are an established subcontract manufacturer who have gone through a re-vamp in recent years that have earnt themselves a great reputation within the Automotive and Motorsport industries for their work. As a business they have some ambitious growth plans lead by a team of senior managers with which this position will play a key role in. You can expect a friendly team and a nice working environment that has been recently re-furbished with gym, kitchen and modern meeting rooms.
Experience required;
-Previous purchasing assistance experience
-Proactive and forward thinker
-Willingness to learn and work within a fast moving engineering business
