Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Tier 1 Civil Engineering & Rail Contractor
Location: Kent
Salary: Circa £35,000 + Car Allowance + 5% Matched Pension + Benefits
Are you an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with 1–2 years' experience looking to take your career to the next level?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading Tier 1 civil engineering and rail contractors, delivering a wide range of rail infrastructure upgrades across Kent. Projects include train station platform improvements, depot walkway upgrades, and general civil enhancements within the rail network.
You'll be joining a supportive commercial team, working closely with a highly experienced and approachable Managing Quantity Surveyor who will provide hands-on guidance and development.
Responsibilities include:

Supporting the commercial management of live rail civils projects
*
Assisting with valuations, cost reporting, and final accounts
*
Involvement in NEC contract administration
*
Collaborating with operational teams to monitor project performance and costs
Requirements:
*
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
*
1–2 years’ experience in civil engineering or rail
*
Working knowledge of NEC contracts
*
Eager to learn and grow within a professional environment
