Job Description
Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor who are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join one of their commercial teams. The team are working on projects on behalf of private clients worth up to £5m and will be based on bespoke contracts derived from NEC contracts. Their projects are in Sussex and Kent.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will report directly to a Senior Quantity Surveyor. Your role will be to make sure that commercial duties are being administered in line with a NEC contract.
You will be involved in (but not limited to):
Accurate monthly forecasting
Produce and send enquiries with relevant documentation to subcontractors
Producing monthly reports and cost value reconciliation
Manage any changes in a timely manner
Produce, submit, and agree monthly application with the client
Attend weekly progress meeting with the client
Produce and submit any compensation event quotations asRequirements including certificates and qualifications:
Degree-qualified or equivalent
Ideally have worked on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Ideally a member of RICS but not essential
You'll need good working knowledge and experience with the NEC contracts
Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
