Audio Visual Installation Engineer - Commercial AV Integration
Tyne and Wear / Teesside | 💰 £33,000 - £38,000 per annum (DOE)
We are recruiting for an experienced Audio-Visual Installation Engineer to join a leading AV integration company, delivering high-quality solutions to commercial clients across Tyne and Wear / Teesside and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse projects, installing state-of-the-art AV systems in corporate offices, meeting rooms, educational facilities, retail, hospitality, and event spaces. If you enjoy working hands-on with the latest AV technology and delivering professional installations, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Installing and commissioning commercial AV systems, including video conferencing, large format displays, digital signage, projection systems, and audio solutions
Rack building, cable pulling, wiring, and terminations
Integrating AV control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX, Kramer)
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and site plans
Working alongside project managers, site managers, and other contractors to ensure smooth project delivery
Providing client handovers and basic system user training when requiredAbout You:
-Proven experience in commercial AV installation
-Strong technical skills in AV rack building, cabling, terminations, and troubleshooting
-Familiarity with AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, or AMX
-Ability to work on-site independently and as part of a team
-Confident communicating with clients and stakeholders in a professional manner
