Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Meldreth, Hertfordshire Salary: £22,102.72 - £24,103.93 - depending on experience and qualifications Start Date: ASAP - Permanent role Overview: A specialist education provider in Meldreth, Hertfordshire is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support children and young people aged 6-19 who have a range of moderate and severe learning difficulties (MLD and SLD), including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD and associated difficulties, and require an individualised, specialist approach. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing school in Meldreth, providing high-quality education and care in a supportive and well-equipped environment. Role Summary: The Teaching Assistant will support students with learning, personal development, and well-being, ensuring they have the best opportunity to reach their full potential. This may involve care support, behaviour management, and adapting learning approaches to individual needs. Key Responsibilities: Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils. Promote independence, personal development, and high behavioural expectations. Support the Class Teacher in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum. Adapt to the changing needs of the school, ensuring a safe and structured learning environment. Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals to meet students' needs.
