Job Description
Job Title: Bench Hand Joiner
Location: Leicester
Shift: 8:30am - 5pm, (Monday - Thursday), 8:30am - 3:45pm (Friday)
Salary: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

The Company:
A respected bespoke furniture company are looking for an experienced Bench Hand Joiner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of woodworking and joinery, and will be proficient in using a variety of tools and machinery to assemble and fabricate wooden components.
Responsibilities:
Interpret technical drawings and woodworking plans to construct and assemble wooden products
Operate and maintain a range of machinery including hand router, edge bander, planer, spindle moulder, and other woodworking tools
Measure, cut, and shape wood to precise measurements and specifications
Ensure high quality and accuracy in all joinery and woodworking tasks
Work collaboratively with the team to meet production deadlines and project requirementsQualifications:
Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner or similar role
Proficiency in using woodworking tools and machinery such as hand router, edge bander, spindle moulder, etc.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and woodworking plans
Strong attention to detail and precision in all woodworking tasks
Knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop environmentDay-to-day:
Collaborating with the team to discuss project requirements and timelines
Operating and maintaining woodworking machinery
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans to guide joinery and assembly tasks
Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood to precise measurements and specifications
