Job Description

As a Biology ECT, you’ll:

Teach Biology at KS4, with general Science at KS3 and potential to contribute to A-Level
*
Plan and deliver lessons that encourage inquiry, curiosity, and scientific thinking
*
Support revision sessions and science clubs as part of wider enrichment
*
Work closely with colleagues to ensure adaptive, inclusive classroom practice
ECT support includes:

A full induction programme with a focus on reflection and growth
*
Weekly CPD tailored to subject and stage
*
Mentoring by an experienced Biology specialist
*
Regular feedback, coaching, and observation
What we’re looking for:

QTS (or on track for July 2025)
*
A degree in Biology or related life science field
*
Enthusiasm for subject knowledge and scientific literacy
*
Commitment to equitable, student-centred teaching
*
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
