Job Description
An enthusiastic individual with a strong background in Biology is sought for a full-time temporary Science Teacher position at a well-regarded Independent school in Harrow, with a start date as soon as possible. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Science lessons with a Biology specialism to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16).
Responsibilities
* They will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons with a focus on Biology to Key Stages 3 and 4.
* The role involves effectively teaching biological concepts, adhering to the school's curriculum.
* They will foster a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment for biology.
* Assessment and monitoring of student progress in Science (Biology), along with providing feedback, will be required.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Biology or Science with a strong Biology background is essential.
* Experience teaching Science lessons with a focus on Biology at Key Stages 3 and 4 is desirable.
* A solid understanding of biological principles is expected.
