Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Senior Leadership Team to oversee the consultancy function
Assisting in the development of the Building Control Consultancy business with excellent service delivery
Working towards demonstrating competence as a Principal Designer by recording evidence as specified within PAS8670
Providing advice on compliance with technical and procedural aspects within the Building Regulations
Ensuring standards and quality are maintained, and procedures adhered to in respect of performance and quality standards across the business
Maintaining relationships with internal staff, developers, and clients by offering technical advice and guidance
Consulting with related companies on Building Regulation technical matters and preparing technical training
Supporting the Business Development team in offering bespoke quotes for consultancy projects
Identifying and communicating legislative and technical changes to Building Regulations to various business functions
Managing and prioritising your own diary and attending internal and external meetings and events as required.
Job Requirements:
Qualified Surveyor (MRICS, MCABE, MCIOB, or similar) with relevant experience is preferred
Competence in design team management
Understanding of duties and compliance requirements for Principal Designers and other duty holders
Ability to assess design work for compliance with the Building Regulations
Experience in CPD and training records in relevant disciplines
Knowledge of primary and secondary legislations such as the Building Act, Building Safety Act, and Building Regulations 2010
Understanding the purpose and scope of technical guidance and standards in building design and construction compliance
Proficient in interacting with information management systems
Ability to create and maintain good working relationships with other construction professionals
Full UK Driving Licence
