Class 2D Building Inspector – Contract Role (South London) 🚧
Are you an experienced Class 2D Building Inspector looking for your next contract? We are currently seeking a skilled professional for a contract role based in South London, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.
🔍 Role Overview:
As a Class 2D Building Inspector, you will be primarily responsible for conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with building regulations and standards across various sites in South London. This is a field-based role with the majority of your time being site based, therefore you will require a keen eye for detail and a have proactive approach to building safety and compliance. There will also be plan checking, however this is usually one or two days a week from home offering full flexibility.
💷 Rate: £55/hr - £65/hr (Depending on experience)
📍 Location: South London
🕒 Type: Contract (full-time)
✅ Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine and ad-hoc on-site inspections
* Assess and report on structural compliance and safety
* Liaise with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders
* Maintain detailed inspection records and documentation
* Ensure all works adhere to relevant building regulations and standards
🛠️ Requirements:
* Valid Class 2D inspection registration
* Proven experience in building inspection
* Excellent knowledge of UK building regulations
* Strong communication and reporting skills
* Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
