This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven company at the forefront of the electric bus revolution, working in a brand-new, fully equipped workshop, based in Bristol.
Our client operates local bus services, community transport, and school runs across Bristol and Bath. With a growing fleet of over 40 vehicles (and plans for a greener, electric future), they’re now investing in in-house servicing and creating a tight-knit engineering team dedicated to vehicle safety, sustainability, and community values.
Your Role
We’re looking for a skilled PSV/HGV/LCV Technician to take a hands-on lead in maintaining and repairing a fleet of minibuses and service buses. This is a fantastic role for someone with experience who wants to work Monday to Friday with a friendly, values-led team.
Your Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, inspect, and repair mechanical & electrical faults
- Carry out planned maintenance and safety inspections
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and maintain service logs
- Maintain and repair mainly minibuses
- Assist with repairs on the larger PSV fleet
- Work collaboratively with operations and respond to occasional breakdowns
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 in PSV, HGV, or LCV maintenance
- IRTEC, and/or PCV licence desirable, but not essential
- Strong fault-finding, documentation, and workshop skills
- Ability to use modern fleet systems and interpret service manuals
- Safety-conscious with excellent attention to detail
- Flexible, team-oriented, and enthusiastic about quality
