Business Advisor – Workforce Development (Digital, Creative & Technology) Manchester (Hybrid Working) Up to £42,000 per annum Full Time – Permanent Job Description: A unique opportunity has arisen for a Business Advisor with specialist knowledge of the digital, creative, and technology sectors. Working directly with high-growth businesses across Greater Manchester, you’ll provide expert guidance on workforce development, helping employers shape talent strategies, improve staff retention, and access training solutions tailored to the fast-evolving needs of the tech economy. This role offers the chance to make a genuine impact on some of the region’s most innovative companies. Key Responsibilities: Act as a trusted advisor to businesses in digital, creative, and tech industries. Promote workforce development services and ensure referrals to appropriate programmes and partners. Work with sector leads to implement regional development plans and support industry priorities. Help businesses develop inclusive recruitment practices and retain local talent. Engage with education and training providers to broker impactful upskilling solutions. Assess organisational capability, skills gaps, and workforce challenges through diagnostics. Maintain accurate client records and contribute to service performance reporting.Required Skills and Experience: Strong background in workforce planning, organisational development, or coaching. In-depth knowledge of the digital, creative, and tech business landscape. Experience engaging SMEs and scaling businesses with tailored workforce solutions. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Familiar with the skills and training ecosystem within Greater Manchester. Degree/CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience in a relevant role. Competent in CRM systems and comfortable managing a portfolio of business clients. Proactive, commercially aware, and passionate about supporting sector growth.
