Business Development Manager
Consult Energy are working with a forward thinking business looking to add a Business Development Manager to their direct sales team.
The role and essential functions of the job:

Drive high-value tenders from initial enquiry to deal close, ensuring seamless execution and maximum win rates.
*
Craft and deliver growth strategies that balance profit with customer satisfaction, fuelling long-term success.
*
Spot and seize new opportunities across markets, customer segments, partnerships, and products to stay ahead of the curve.
*
Generate and convert leads through proactive outreach and smart targeting - including cold calls that open doors.
*
Shape winning deals by designing smart pricing and structuring proposals in collaboration with the Trading Desk.
*
Keep leadership informed with sharp, insight-rich reports on performance, renewals, revenue growth, and untapped potential.
Key Skills & Experience
*
3+ years in a commercial energy role, with deep knowledge of the UK energy landscape.
*
Proven dealmaker, skilled in negotiating and closing fixed and flexible energy contracts.
*
Strategic thinker with commercial edge, always looking for ways to create value and differentiate.
*
Standout communicator — articulate, persuasive, and credible across all levels of the business.
*
Team-first mindset, thriving in collaboration while confidently influencing internal stakeholders.
*
Clear and compelling presenter, able to simplify complex structures and sell high-impact solutions.
Benefits
* Salary up to £75,000 DOE plus annual bonus of up to 20%
* 25 days annual leave in addition to Bank holidays.
