Job Description
My Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record in selling commercial contract cleaning services. You’ll play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and securing long-term cleaning contracts across various sectors such as commercial offices, retail, healthcare, education, and leisure.
Key Responsibilities

Proactively generate new business leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and industry events.

Attend client meetings, conduct site surveys, and produce tailored cleaning proposals.
*
Deliver consistent sales performance against agreed targets and KPIs.
*
Prepare and present commercial contract cleaning solutions to decision-makers.
*
Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signature.
*
Collaborate with operations and support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
*
Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and produce regular sales reports.
Requirements
*
Proven experience in business development or sales within commercial contract cleaning or soft FM services.
*
Strong knowledge of the cleaning industry, including pricing models, specifications, and compliance.
*
Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
*
Self-starter with a target-driven mindset and the ability to work independently.
*
Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
Desirable Skills
*
Existing portfolio of client contacts in commercial cleaning or FM.
*
Knowledge of tendering processes (public/private sector).
*
Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
