About the Buyer job
Your role will be to assist the Purchasing Manager through efficiently placing purchase orders and the planning deliveries of raw materials in order to meet the needs of the company and its customer base.
Key tasks
* Have effective working relationships with all internal stakeholders e.g. production, warehouse, planning and also sales.
* Finding the best possible prices and also services with suppliers whilst also trying to identify new ones.
* Continually work to improve internal processes and procedures.
* Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
About You
* To be considered for this role you will have experience within a purchasing role gained within a manufacturing environment. This ideally being from within the Food Manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
* You will have a proven track record in purchasing within the manufacturing industry and be proficient in using SAP for procurement processes.
* Be able to demonstrate success in supplier relationships
* Have a good level of commercial and business acumen.
* Possess good negotiating skills, attention to detail and great organisational skills.
* Be able to work effectively as part of a team, or individually as required.
* The ability to work unaided and as part of a team across multiple departments.

The site is in Kent and is commutable from Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Tunbridge wells, Orpington, Croydon, Reigate and Aylesford.
