Rate: £65ph UMB (Inside IR35)
Role details:
Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to join their Bristol team on a contract basis. This role involves contributing to the development of next-generation Air Defence Systems, maintaining high standards of safety, performance, and dependability.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing and developing Command and Control architectures for future products
Collaborating with requirement authorities and engaging in the entire software development process
Utilising automation for target integration and documentation
Exploring and implementing new tools, techniques, and approaches to improve efficiency
Maintaining momentum and collaboration within the development team
Adhering to standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, and IEC61508
Job Requirements:
Strong background in software engineering and its system-wide impact
Proficiency in C++ and Embedded C/C++
Experience with additional languages, such as Ada and QT, is beneficial
Knowledge of DDS middleware and Real Time Operating Systems
Familiarity with restricted coding standards like MISRA C++
Collaborative approach with the ability to work well within a team
Excellent problem-solving and initiative show ability
