Job Description
To supervise the site cleaning teams to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Working hours are 08:00 - 17:00
* Basic DBS required for this role
* Candidate must hold a valid driving licence.
* Act as ‘hands on’ lead and front-line supervisor for the cleaning teams to deliver a quality service.
* Respond in a timely manner to any issues with the delivery of routine and non-routine cleaning services, whilst undertaking janitorial duties and planned maintenance tasks.
* Support the maintenance team with PPM’s and reactive attendance.
* Undertake maintenance duties such, porterage, minor repairs, instillation of signage and notice boards etc.
* Work across local sites that are in walking distance.
* Monitor the quality of work, by subcontractors and our own delivery teams, completing quality control sheets as necessary.
* Ensure cleaning materials and power cleaning equipment are operated in a safe and economic manner, and in accordance with their instructions for use.
* Ensure that cleaning equipment and designated storage areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
* Ensure adequate supplies of cleaning materials and other consumable items are available.
* Ensure personal tasks and the duties of the cleaning team are carried out in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, Company and recommended guidelines.
* Support training as necessary to maintain the requirements of the service.
* Ensure cleaning tasks are carried out to a high standard.
* Demonstrate an observable commitment to Behavioural Safety and embracing a No Life at Risk culture.
* Ensure maintenance duties are completed to a high standard and logbooks kept up to date.
* Demonstrate the Company’s core values of respect, integrity, innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
This role will support both the Facility Supervisor & Technical Supervisor in the achievement of the business objectives. Lead positive improvements on key service delivery KPI measures. Critical and central to this role is aiding the Region in reducing deductions / service failures as a result of delivery across the HMCTS estate, driving a culture of customer service, continuous improvement and ensuring absolute continuity of service delivery.
Qualifications, Skills or Required Experience:
* Experience of industry/public cleaning services (essential)
* Previous experience of supervising teams
* COSHH Knowledge (desirable)
* Able to instruct others on the use of cleaning materials and equipment
* Understand basic health and safety principles.
* Have good knowledge of using tools and equipment.
* Able to motivate teams to attain a consistent specified standard of cleaning.
* Able to organise cleaning staff to meet work schedules
* Good communication and customer care skills
* Be sufficiently fit to be able to undertake the specified tasks
* Work as a team player and pass on knowledge to others
