Duties
Ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect of COSH
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following all health and safety regulations
Fulfil Function & Banqueting Service alongside Restaurant Service
Assist in the purchasing of stock and ingredients
Using local, seasonal influences to develop menu specials
Ensuring all housekeeping requirements are being adhered too, as well as working to Food Safety Standards
Assist in the management of the kitchen team
Maintaining high cleanliness standards and complying with kitchen hygiene schedules
Help develop new menu items and seasonal specials
The Requirements
Have previous experience in a kitchen or cafe setting (Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Assistant)
Passion for cooking and creating fantastic food
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
Creativity and willingness to contribute ideas for menu development
Ability to work under pressure and stay organised in a busy environment
Flexibility to work weekends and cover holidays as required
Possess strong communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team
The successful Chef de Partie will be able to produce fresh food to a high standard. This role would suit a chef, kitchen assistant, catering assistant or cook who has experience of working in a food led pub, hotel, restaurant or café. Who ideally holds a minimum NVQ Level 2 or relevant kitchen experience.
You will be working alongside an experienced kitchen team who can provide training and mentorship as required, leading to progression opportunities across the business.
