Job Description

Chemistry ECT to join its innovative Science faculty from September 2025. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to contribute to a school that prioritises academic excellence, student curiosity, and inclusive scientific learning. As a Chemistry ECT, you’ll: * Teach Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 in your second year * Plan engaging experiments and investigations aligned with curriculum and enrichment goals * Encourage analytical thinking, scientific method, and problem-solving in all lessons * Collaborate with other science teachers to run STEM clubs and science fairs ECT support includes: * A dedicated induction mentor and structured feedback programme * Weekly department meetings and collaborative planning time * Funded access to external CPD including RSC and STEM Learning resources * Opportunities for early career progression within a supportive department What we’re looking for: * QTS (or on track to achieve it by July 2025) * A degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject * Strong classroom presence and a passion for inspiring young scientists * A commitment to inclusive education and continuous personal development * Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) This is a unique opportunity to launch your Chemistry teaching career in a forward-thinking and supportive school community in Oxford.
