We are looking for a committed and empathetic professional to provide essential services to those in need. In this fulfilling role, you will collaborate closely with families, carers, and various agencies to safeguard and support children and young people at risk. Your efforts will be crucial in ensuring their well-being and helping them thrive, all while adhering to statutory legislation, Council procedures, and departmental policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out comprehensive assessments and keep meticulous casework records in line with statutory and organizational standards
Coordinate and oversee local services to provide robust support for the children and families you serve
Support children, parents, and carers to develop lasting support networks that foster independence and well-being
Offer expert guidance to children, parents, and carers on creating and maintaining strong support networks and services within their home and community
What do you need?
To be successful in the application process, candidates will need to have:
Qualified social worker experience (excluding those undertaking ASYE)
A strong understanding and adherence to the professional ethics and standards outlined in the BASW Code of Ethics and Social Work England Codes of Practice
Experience in case management
Proven ability to conduct timely assessments of service users' needs, following practice guidance and departmental policies
Experience in formulating, implementing, and reviewing care plans
The ability to effectively engage and build relationships with vulnerable children, young people, families, and other key stakeholders
