We're looking for a skilled and committed Children's MASH Social Worker to join our dynamic Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team in South East London.
About the Role
As a MASH Social Worker, you will be at the front line of safeguarding children. Working closely with professionals from health, education, the police, and other services, you will gather, analyse, and assess information to make informed decisions that ensure children are safe and protected.
This is a fast-paced, analytical role where your ability to identify risk, communicate effectively, and make sound professional judgements will be key.
Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly to referrals where there are concerns about the safety or well-being of a child.
Conduct thorough information gathering and analysis to inform decision-making.
Liaise with partner agencies to build a clear picture of each child's circumstances.
Apply thresholds for intervention appropriately and recommend next steps.
Ensure that safeguarding decisions are made in the best interests of children, following legislation and local protocols.
About You:
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
Experience working in frontline children's services, ideally within a MASH or similar setting.
Excellent risk assessment and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and multi-agency partnership skills.
Able to thrive in a high-pressure, information-rich environment.
