Job Description
Venrec are recruiting on behalf of our client for Class 1 Drivers based in Sittingbourne/ Maidstone
The role will entail:
- Refrigerated distribution across a variety of locations.
- Delivering to RDC’s and collections to and from farms.
- The shifts are on average 12 hours long.
- Some flexibility for shift start times as they may vary.
- Mainly a driving role with minimal handling of the load.
A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Full Class 1 licence (minimum of 3 months Class 1 experience).
- Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
- No more than 6 points or have the following endorsement codes showing (DD or DR).
- Compliant to all rules and regulations within LGV driving.
- Good roadcraft / Geographical knowledge.
Shifts available are over a 7-day period between Sunday to Saturday with a mixture of day/ afternoon & night shifts available between 01:00 hours to 23.00 hours and our client offers long term work and can offer hours to suit.
All candidates are required to pass our clients assessment prior to commencing which includes a written and practical driving test. (3-hour assessments are being held between Monday to Friday on days / nights)
Pay Rates:
- Days - £16.70 (Monday to Friday).
- Nights - £17.80 (Monday to Friday).
- Saturday hours – Day £20.00/ Night £20.70.
- Sunday hours + Bank Holiday – Day £23.62/ Nights £25.87.
All the above rates are PAYE and holiday accrual will be in addition to the rates as shown and is weekly paid.
