Job Description
M4 Recruitment is seeking experienced HGV 2 Drivers for our client in Colnbrook. This role is essential to ensuring efficient logistics and the timely transport of goods between depots and distribution centres.
Shift & Duties:
* Hours: Early starts between 03:00-05:00am
* Weekly Hours: 8 hours min a day
* Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Competitive Pay Rates:
* Weekdays (08:00 - 19:00) – £17.33
* Weeknights (19:00 - 08:00) – £19.98
* Overtime £26.00 after working 40 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Trunking Operations: Safely complete assigned trunking routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
* Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre- and post-trip checks, reporting any defects.
* Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including delivery notes and logbooks.
* Communication: Keep the logistics team updated on delivery progress and any issues.
* Professionalism: Provide excellent customer service and represent the company positively.
Requirements:
* Valid UK Class 2 (C+E) License
* Minimum 1 year of Class 2 driving experience
* No more than 6 points on license
* Clean DBS check
* Level D / Cargo Operative training (can be completed online)
* 5-year employment history for background verification
