Job Description

Contract Scotland are currently recruiting for an experienced Clerk of Works / Construction Manager to support a major infrastructure project based in Inverness, as part of critical railway bridge works. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in rail, piling, and craning operations to take on a key role, working in close collaboration with principal contractors on site. Key Details: Location: Inverness Start: Summer 2025 Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 6:00pm Weekend / Holiday Work: Available at enhanced rates What You’ll Be Doing: Act as the on-site client representative, interfacing daily with the main contractor Oversee compliance with safety, technical and quality standards Coordinate with the client’s Construction Manager and provide daily reporting Monitor progress and support resolution of on-site issues as they arise What We’re Looking For: Experience in railway construction is highly desirable Proven track record with piling and craning activities Hold valid PTS and/or COSS certification Strong site management or Clerk of Works background Someone based in the Inverness area preferred.
