Job Description
Clinical Lead required for a nursing home in Newport dedicated to providing exceptional care to their residents.
Nestled in the heart of their community, the team of highly skilled professionals are committed to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for their elderly residents. As part of their mission to enhance the quality of life for their residents, they are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Lead to join their team.
As the Clinical Lead at this beautiful nursing home, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to the residents. You will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff, providing clinical guidance and promoting best practices in healthcare. As Clinical Lead you will work closely with the Nursing Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager, contributing to maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, while continuously striving to improve residents' well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead the nursing staff, ensuring they deliver compassionate and person-centred care to residents.
Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and care needs, updating care plans accordingly.
Implement and monitor infection control protocols to safeguard residents' health and safety.
Foster a positive and supportive working environment for all healthcare staff.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the clinical skills and knowledge of the nursing team.
Monitor and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Act as a point of contact for residents' families, addressing their concerns and providing updates on their loved ones' well-being.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic care for residents.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified nurse with current NMC Pin.
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of Care Inspectorate Wales.
Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in elderly care and nursing practices.
Understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines governing nursing homes.
Salary:
Salary £45,000pa
The role is split supernumerary and nurse in charge, so the role does include some weekend working.
