Job Description
Are you a hands-on inspector with an eye for detail and a passion for quality? Fancy working with cutting-edge kit and contributing to projects for some of the biggest names in aerospace, energy, motorsport and automotive? Well, you're in the right place… You will be working for a fast-growing engineering company that's scaled up rapidly thanks to its reputation for quality and precision. Due to increased workload after winning some large projects, they are needing you to join the team and help inspect the metallic parts and components which have been machined, 3D printed or are from castings.
What you'll be doing:
Inspecting all kinds of parts through manual, visual, CMM, 3D scanning inspection. This includes mainly one-off parts
Using specialist equipment like CMMs, scanning arms, and hand measurement inspection tools
Logging results and flagging non-conformities. These parts need to be within tight tolerances and are critical components!
Getting stuck into improving inspection processes and keeping everything running smoothly
What we're looking for:
Solid all-round inspection experience - CMM programming would be a bonus!
Confident reading drawings and working to engineering industry standards
Happy using CMMs, doing multi-part setups, and dealing with all kinds of fixtures
It would be advantageous if you have inspected castings, machined parts or additive manufactured parts
If you have that quality inspection background but want to learn some new CMM machines / scanners, then you will get the opportunity to train up here!
