Job Description
Job Title - Mechanical Quality Inspector
Location - Basingstoke, Hampshire
Hours - Permanent, Full Time 40 hours a week Monday to Thursday: - 07:30 – 16:30 Friday: - 07:30 – 14:00
Salary - Upto £17.50 per hour
Job Specification:
Undertake inspection of parts processed through our clients Inspection department. Work with production and quality engineering to process parts in an effective/timely manner.
Requirements & Experience:
* Must be able to use Hand Held measuring tools, Linear Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, Surface Finish Testers etc.
* Excellent numeracy skills.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and have knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel).
* Quality control preferably AS9100
* Some experience operating a CMM, preferably Mitutoyo.
Main Duties:
* Main Duties / Responsibilities
* Goods Inwards, In Process and 100% Final Inspection of Parts utilising various inspection tools/methods.
* Perform routine visual and dimensional inspection and check for surface defects, cleaning, chipping, etc.
* Produce inspection reports, compile and complete CofC’s/ FAIRS and Customer quality assurance documentation.
* Complete NCR’s when necessary and support 8D process.
