Job Description
CNC Machinist – Bournemouth – Up to £45,000
Are you passionate about precision engineering and skilled in CNC machining? Whether you specialise in milling or turning, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing engineering companies in Poole on a permanent basis.
Purpose
We’re looking for experienced CNC Machinists to join our team – both Millers and Turners are encouraged to apply. You’ll be working in a modern, well-equipped facility with a team dedicated to producing high-quality precision components for a wide range of industries.
Benefits
Competitive salary up to £45,000, depending on experience
Overtime paid at X1.5
Four day week or early finish on Fridays
Flexible start times
25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, including Christmas shutdown
Pension contributions (4% employer, 4% employee)
Private medical insurance and enhanced paternity pay (after probation)
Annual salary review, appraisal process, and recognition awards
Death in service scheme and sickness benefits (after probation)
As a CNC Machinist, your key responsibilities will include
Setting, and operating CNC mills or lathes
Working from detailed technical drawings and job specs
Producing high-quality, precision components in both small and large batches
Performing tool changes, setups, and quality checks
General workshop duties and maintaining a clean work environment
As a CNC Machinist, you will need
Proven experience setting and operating CNC Machines
Either have programming experience or be willing to learn
Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
