Job Description
An exciting opportunity to joina a unique business in the heart of beautiful countryside.
Befits include:-
* Overtime – time and a half Mon-Sat and double time Sunday after 37 hours worked;
* 37 hours per week – 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am to 4pm Friday with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break – flexi time is available
* 25 days holidays and 8 bank holidays
* 5% pension

Duties for the CNC Machinist include:
* To manufacture components and parts, generally from aluminum, stainless steel and plastics, in accordance with drawings, technical specifications and tolerances.
* To setup & operate manual and CNC milling machine and manual lathe including planning a sequence of operations to allow efficient manufacture.
* Support LEAN activities within the machine shop to ensure maximum efficiency and minimize waste during the manufacturing processes.
* Provide feedback on improvements to design and machine shop equipment to support efficient manufacture of components.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and tolerances.
* Manufacture of components using manual milling machine and manual lathe to required quality standards
* Complete Quality documentation (NCR, ECN etc.)
* Carry out standard machine maintenance
To be successful as a CNC Machinist you will:-
* Have prior experience operating a CNC Mazak machine.
* Competent in the use of precision measuring devices
* Capable of working with limited supervision
