Your Role:
As a Skilled CNC Operator, you'll be responsible for the accurate and efficient production of high-quality components using a variety of CNC machinery. Your work will directly support our manufacturing process and ensure the reliability of our production line.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines using Fanuc or similar
Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings
Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances and quality standards
Conduct routine checks and maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with a multi-skilled engineering team to solve problems and improve processes
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the workshop
What You Bring:
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship
Proven experience in a hands-on machinist role
Strong background in CNC milling and turning
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
Team player with good communication skills
Comfortable working with various metals and machining techniques
Desirable:
Experience in a similar manufacturing or engineering environment
Programming knowledge of CNC machines
Engineering degree or additional technical qualifications
Calm under pressure and highly reliable
Strong health and safety awareness
