Job Description
Are you an experienced call centre agent with SC Clearance? Our client are looking for collections agent to start ASAP!
Job Title: Collections Agent
Salary: £14.01 per hour
Duration of Contract: Until 31/12/2025
Working Pattern: Hybrid working, 2 days in Newcastle office per week, 3 days from home. Monday - Friday, 9-5.
Requirements:
Experience of working in a contact or call centre environment
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with people at all levels both internally and externally.
Ability to build effective and positive relationships whilst delivering a high standard of customer service
Experience of dealing with vulnerable and potentially vulnerable customers, treating them empathetically and taking appropriate measures to support them
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to challenge customers where appropriate
Seek to solve problems and suggest solutions before having to escalate them
Attention to detail is essential as all customer interaction must be recorded for audit purposes
Experience of working in a debt management and/or credit control position, including collection activity and telephony
SC Clearance Duties:
Talk with customers who are having difficulties repaying their debt. Listen to them and understand their personal circumstances by completing income & expenditure assessments.
Maintain a professional approach, while showing compassion and empathy for their situation
Negotiate and appropriately challenge customers, ensuring that the debt is paid over a reasonable timescale
Identify and work with vulnerable customers and customers with protected characteristics to achieve a positive outcome
