Commercial Gas Engineer – Edinburgh – Facilities Management
FM Search & Select Ltd is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a reputable Facilities Management company based in Edinburgh. This role is ideal for a skilled engineer with a strong technical background in commercial gas systems, who is committed to delivering exceptional service and ensuring the efficient operation of heating and gas systems.
Package:
*
Salary up to £40,000 depending on experience
*
Company van and fuel card
*
Monday – Friday, full-time position
*
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
*

On-call rota with additional call-out pay
Responsibilities:
*
Install, maintain, and repair commercial gas heating systems and appliances
*
Conduct regular inspections and servicing to ensure compliance with safety standards
*
Carry out fault-finding and diagnostic work to resolve technical issues promptly
*
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships
*
Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations and industry best practices
*
Maintain accurate records of all works completed
*
Respond to emergency call-outs and ensure timely resolution of issues
*
Support the team and contribute to the growth of the business by identifying service improvement opportunities
*
Complete general FM tasks, including basic electrical repairs, fabric maintenance, and general painting as required
*
Ensure the upkeep and safety of client facilities by addressing any ad-hoc maintenance tasks
Qualifications & Skills:
*
ACS Commercial Gas qualifications (CIGA1, CORT1, COCN1, etc.)
*
Relevant SVQ in Heating and Ventilation (or equivalent)
*
Proven experience in maintaining and repairing commercial gas systems
*
Strong technical knowledge of commercial heating and gas systems
*
Basic knowledge of electrical, fabric, and general maintenance tasks, including painting
*
Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
*
Full UK driving licence
*
Good communication and customer service skills
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
