About the Role:
My client, a growing specialist sub-contractor are looking for a driven and experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function across a range of projects. You will play a key role in managing budgets, contracts, and commercial strategy to ensure project profitability and contractual compliance from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the commercial performance of multiple construction projects.

Price variations.
*
Lead procurement and subcontractor negotiation processes.
*
Manage and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
*
Monitor and report on budgets, cash flow, and forecasts.
*
Ensure robust contract management (JCT, NEC, or relevant forms).
*
Collaborate closely with Surveyors, project managers, site teams, and clients.
*
Ensure timely submission of valuations, variations, and final accounts.
*
Drive value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor role within the construction industry.
*
Strong knowledge of standard construction contracts (JCT, NEC, etc.).
*
Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and leadership skills.
*
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent.
*
Confident communicator with strong analytical and reporting skills.
*
Proficient in commercial management software (e.g., Excel, COINS, CATO, or similar).
