One of my local government clients are currently recruiting an experienced Community Events Support Officer on a temporary basis. This is a 3-month minimum contract with the possibility of the role being extended further to work Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Hybrid working role were, however, you will be required to attend the office 2/3 times a week.
Responsibilties:
* Assist with research, development, and creative planning of events, including the Green Fair, Summer Fun, and Light Trail events.
* Source and secure external organisations, partners, and third-party agencies to participate in events. Identify resource requirements, obtain proposals, quotes, and invoices.
* Coordinate with internal and external departments to ensure smooth planning and execution.
* Maintain the ‘Live Project Tracker’ (including work plans, budgets, and supplier contacts). Ensure events run on schedule and within budget.
* Assist with event documentation, including management plans, risk assessments, and site maps.
* Support event production, logistics, marketing, and promotion.
* Work alongside businesses and partners to develop offers within greenspaces.
* Assist with site management, setups, and pack-downs.
* Enable community engagement and participation in events.
* Perform any additional duties as directed by the Greenspaces & Community Events Officer.
