Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Team within the NHS in Cambridge. This is a full-time, temporary agency contract, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will work within a community setting as part of an Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) service. You will manage a caseload of service users, providing assessment, care planning, and intervention for individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis or at high risk of developing psychosis. The role also involves supporting the Duty system within the team.
The post holder must have a strong understanding of psychosis and the ethos of early intervention, as well as experience working with a variety of mental health conditions in a community setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of service users within the EIP service, delivering person-centred care.
Provide timely and appropriate mental health assessments, care plans, and interventions.
Support the team’s Duty rota, responding to urgent needs and crises as required.
Promote recovery-focused approaches, empowering service users and their families.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and external agencies.
Record and maintain high-quality clinical documentation in line with NHS policies and procedures.
Identify and manage risk appropriately, updating risk assessments regularly.
Ensure practice is in line with relevant legislation, guidelines, and Trust policies.
Requirements:
Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
Experience working with individuals with psychosis in a community mental health setting.
Knowledge and understanding of Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) principles and practice.
Strong communication, assessment, and care planning skills.
Enhanced DBS clearance (issued within the last 12 months or registered with the Update Service).
